Apollo Hospitals is among the largest private integrated healthcare groups in India and recognized as a leader in the management and delivery of high-quality tertiary care in the Asiatic region. Apollo owns over 60 hospitals and manages 15 in India and abroad with total capacity of over 10,000 beds. Apollo Hospitals built and runs a large network of rural clinics dedicated to low-income individuals through a dedicated department called Apollo Reach Hospitals. By doing so, Apollo provides access to high quality health care services to those who don’t have access to the National Healthcare System.

Apollo received two loans totaling USD 65 million from International Finance Corporation to finance the Apollo Reach Hospitals Department’s rollout. Apollo Hospitals’ commitment to make good healthcare available to everyone led indeed to the foundation of Apollo Reach, a first of its kind endeavor to make advanced technology and experienced medical professionals accessible to the low income individuals living in rural and semi-urban areas. In the next future, Apollo would serve more than 120,000 patients per year who earn less than USD 2 per day.
